How Celery Juice Changed My Life with Crohn’s Disease!

Do you feel like you are coasting through life with your horrible Crohn’s Disease symptoms?

That was me, before I found Celery Juice.

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2011, and ever since I have been on one wild ride trying to attain remission.  I have been pumped with an array of medications which included Remicade, Entyvio, Humira, Stelara, Prednisone, Dilaudid, Valium and so much more.

I’ve also been on a regimen of natural supplements which included Turmeric, Ginger, Probiotics, 5HTP, Ashwagandha, Fish oil, Vitamin D, Iron, Multi-vitamins and the list extends beyond the moon.

I’ve done food allergy elimination programs, EMF technology, home remedies, emotional releases, prayer, stretching, exorcisms- I’m kidding.

But you get the point.  I’ve tried a lot!  And just recently, I stumbled on Celery Juice.

About a month ago, I began a Celery Juice protocol that I read through Medical Medium’s website.  I decided to try it.

Celery Juice protocol basic points:

  1. Buy Organic Celery
  2. Drink minimum 16oz plain Celery Juice on an empty stomach first thing in the morning
  3. Wait 15-30min, then have your breakfast
  4. Be consistent

I did this for one month straight and the results were mind-blowing.

For the first time in over seven years, I finally felt like my gut was healing.

My bleeding stopped, my cramping went away, my mucous drastically decreased, my hair stopped falling out, my skin cleared up and my nails became strong again.  This all happen within one little month.

I also noticed a huge spike in my energy levels.  No more dragging through the day and desperately seeking a time to nap and recharge.

No more anxiety.  No. More. Pain!

I forgot how this felt!  To just wake up in the morning feeling energized and ready to take on the day without any complications.

But!  The biggest improvement that I appreciated the most within this monthly experiment, was the decrease in inflammation I felt.

My Crohn’s diagnosis is most severe in my descending colon and rectum.  I have acute inflammation and ulcerations in that area, to the point that I have not been able to sleep on my right side for years because it is too painful.

In four weeks of drinking this healing elixir, I have been able to sleep on my right side! I feel my inflammation dissolving away.

All I have to say, is that today I am in the second month of this Celery Juice journey, and I cannot wait to see where I will be in three.

Crohnie Tip*

Start slow with this.  I began with a small 2oz shot of straight Celery Juice and worked my way up slowly to the prescribed 16oz.  For the first two weeks, my body adjusted to the rich juice.  Yes, I was running to the bathroom in the mornings and was dealing with some cramping; but after a week or so, that stopped and now I inhale the 16oz as if it were water!  Don’t give up!  Keep at it, in this case, slow and steady wins the race.

**ALSO! Please note that in addition to the Celery Juice I am strict with my diet. I stay away from dairy, processed sugars and grains. I do have days where I cheat a little, but for the most part I am consistent with this. I also use essential oils daily along with Hemp Oil.

    Thank you sharing what has worked for you with managing Crohn’s Disease. I am experiencing a flare-up right now and planning to leave for Europe in a week. I found your site because I was a wreck looking for ideas on ways to handle the known problems of this awful disease. Thank you so much for your tips. I am going to print the medical card to take with me just in case and am very interested in the celery juice idea that you mentioned. I am going to get the recipe and give that a try. I don’t find that my diet makes much difference and am very careful about what I eat. This seems to have a mind of its own. Wondering if you found anything that works as far as diet. Again, thank you for sharing your story and things that have helped you.

      I am so sorry that you are experiencing a flare. They are always difficult and frustrating. It makes me happy that you found this site, and I hope it gives you some help and support–we all need it!

      Definitely bring the medical alert card with you. I’m not sure what the regulations are in Europe, but it’s worth having it just in case. In the future, definitely keep the card in your wallet for emergencies, it can be a nice tool to have.

      I highly recommend trying the celery juice. It truly has done amazing things for my health. It got me out of my worst flare and I was able to wean off Prednisone without any issues. Normally when I wean off, I get thrown into a flare but with the celery juice that didn’t happen. It was amazing.

      As far as diet, I have to stay away from dairy, grains and processed sugars. Those are my trigger foods. I find that when I am strict with this, I feel the best. In general I try to eat as much organic as I can, especially with protein.

      Hello!

      So happy you are trying the celery juice! It took me about a week and a half to two weeks until I got used to the juice. I started very slow. Just 2oz shot then worked my way up to the 16oz. I did experience cramping, urgency, and diarrhea in those two weeks. But, for some reason I kept at it and so glad I did. It helped me so much! I saw great results after a month and continued to drink it thereafter. The key to this is consistency. At least give yourself a month, minimum. That’s when you will most likely see improvements as I did, and then continuing afterwards is a no brainer. You will be excited with the results.
