If you suffer from Inflammatory Bowel Disease such as Crohn’s Disease (like me), Ulcerative Colitis or any other form of this unpleasant illness; even if you have IBS, this life-hack will be of tremendous service!
Yup, I know. You tend to spend more than half your day on the toilet, miserable, tired, and in excruciating pain. I’ve been there. It’s terrible and exhausting.
Don’t you wish there would be a way to rest while using the restroom? A way you can just rest your head and not have to sit up on the toilet during your most agonizing bowel movements?
Okay, okay. So what is it? What is the solution towards making my hours of agony sitting on the throne more tolerable?
Have you ever tried putting a foldable tray table with a pillow on top and placing it in front of yourself while using the toilet?
Wait, what?
Yes! That foldable little table, that you would put in front of yourself while sitting on the couch in order to eat dinner in front of the TV. That table! Also known as a Tray Table or Snack Table.
Well, take this table and place a pillow on top. The next time you have a flare, place this table with the pillow in front of you. Now you have a place to lay your head and torso! Just imagine yourself taking a nap on top of your desk in school, same concept.
Now, when you are exhausted you can lay your head and rest your upper body and still use the Loo at the same time!
Whenever I was in severe flares and wouldn’t leave the bathroom for hours upon hours, dehydrated, tired and in pain; being able to lay my head and take quick naps before the next excruciating wave of bowel movements was a God send.
And there you have it. The ultimate life-hack for all your IBD toilet woes. This one was a game-changer for me. It allows you to rest your head, torso and arms, all while simultaneously using the restroom. Brilliant.
